Osun 2022: Oyetola reacts over endorsement of Organised Labour

The State of Osun Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola has expressed delightful over public endorsement of his re-election bid by State Organised Labour Movement on Wednesday, comprises Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Trade Union Congress (TUC) and the Joint Negotiating Council (JNC).


The Governor who made this known on his social media platform on Thursday, thanked the entire Osun workforce for their show of love and support for his administration, and for acknowledging his prioritisation of welfare of workers in the State.



The Labour movement on Wednesday at the All Progressive Congress APC mega rally in Osun, lauded the Governor for exercising integrity in honouring all agreements with workers, calling on leaders across Nigeria to emulate Oyetola’s template of industrial relations.


Speaking on behalf of the Labour movement, the Chairman of the Joint Negotiation Movement, Comrade Bayo Adejumo, said Governor Oyetola has walked the talk in the last three and a half years, adding that he has built the requisite blocks for sustainable prosperity.


Oyetola responding to the endorsement, said this is historic as it is the first time the Labour movement would publicly endorse a candidate for an election in the State, reassured the labour movement that his administration will continue to treat their welfare as a first-line charge.


"Let me also commend your contributions to the socio-economic development of our dear State and Nigeria at large. I appreciate your patriotism, productivity, collaboration and commitment to the realisation of our Administration's Development Agenda", the Governor said.
