India, Japan expands ties aiming at ¥5trn investment in 5yrs

India and Japan are working to expand bilateral ties aiming to reach an investment target of 5 trillion Yen in the coming 5 years, which will bring great economic opportunities.


This was made possible by the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and his Japanese Counterpart, Ki shida who met to talk extensively and productively in India on Friday.


The Indian Prime Minister who said Kishida has always been a great friend of India’s. "We took stock of the progress in our bilateral relations over the last few years. We also discussed various regional and global issues.


Adding that economic ties between India and Japan are getting more robust. Japan is among the top investors in India. "Some of the other subjects that were discussed during the talks included climate change, clean energy.


Also, infrastructure development and cultural cooperation. We also met business leaders earlier in the day", India's Prime Minister, Narendra Modi said.
