The Scottish First Minister, Nicole Sturgeon has tested COVID-19 positive after experiencing mild symptoms.
The Minister who made this known on her social media platform on Friday, said in line with Scottish Government guidance, she will be working from home.
According to her tweets, "Unfortunately I’ve tested positive for Covid this evening after experiencing mild symptoms.
"In line with @scotgov guidance, I’ll work from home over next few days, and hopefully be back out and about later next week", Scottish Minister said.
Sturgeon who had earlier welcomed European Commission official, Michelle O’Neill MLA to Bute House today (Friday 20 May) in a meeting which provide an opportunity to discuss shared areas of interest including the current cost of living crisis.
The importance of the Northern Ireland Protocol negotiated with the European Commission and the prospects for the formation of a new Northern Ireland Executive.
