The Presidentrsident of African Development Bank AfDB, Akinwumi Adesina has been awarded Honorary Doctorate Degree by the Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia.
Adesina who disclosed this on his Twitter handle on Sunday, said he was greatly honoured, added that he and his wife, Grace Adesina were delighted to be with the Ethiopian Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed.
According to his tweets, "I was greatly honoured to be awarded an honorary doctorate degree by Addis Ababa University, ranked No.6 in Africa and No.1 in East Africa.
"My wife Grace and I were delighted to be with my brother Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali of Ethiopia. Thank you", Adesina appreciated.
Ethiopia's Abiy Ahmed had earlier tweeted on Saturday, congratulating Adesina and Dr. Pietro Salini for being conferred honorary doctorate degrees by Addis Ababa University.
Ethiopia's PM said, "A recognition well deserved for your great contributions to the field of economics and engineering".
